Ummm…
Sometimes I forget that Twitter and Facebook give all of us a false sense of intimacy with one another. Sometimes I forget that I should watch what i say, but don’t we all these days?
I Tweeted tonight about blowing up the Moon thanks to a current news story that oddly mimicked one of my favorite Mr. Show skits. A lot of people thought I was an asshole for wanting to blow up the Moon.
I am kind of an asshole, but it has little to do with my opinions about space + shit.

“…like Mount Everest or the north pole, etc.” HAHAHAHA!

I missed that tweet, because I cleaned up my twitter eliminating people who didn’t add me.
You have too many followers to ever miss me anyway.
For the most parts your tweets are very entertaining so keep it up. I doubt anyone thinks you’re a
*** ****
Also, how could you possibly consider blowing up the moon, when Henry is on the moon, naked in fact, with his marpitt, Gordon.

I’m in a band, in Texas. I have a lyric in a song referencing shitting on a flag, referencing that Mr. Show skit. People always get pissed.

Ughhh get over yourself. What, were all nine of your fans upset? Why does your “music” suck so bad now? That is a blog I would like to read. Oh and SS suck a dick! Who leaves a lame ass comment about deleting someone on twitter..you are both too OLD for it anyway.

I saw a comment about your music sucking and you both being too old. In my excellent opinion, your music does NOT suck, just the foul language. That is MY opinion and I’m entitled. I love your music love what you are saying/singing but I have wished you would leave out the profanity. You were good for 10 years when you weren’t usihg it. I hope you have another 10 years left but I would have bought the entire Weaponize had it not been for the language so I had to cherry pick.
Oh well. I wish you and your family a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hey Annie -
My lyrics have always contained references to addiction, revenge, depression, suicide, violence, infidelity, as well as the
occasional straight up relationship song. My public comments and interviews have always tended to be a bit
rough + tumble with the truck stop language as well. I like to think that I also temper things with a modicum of humor and intelligence
I understand what you’re saying about the profanity on Weaponize and I respect your opinion but I guess I’m a bit surprised
that those brief moments ruin the experience for you. The record is intensely personal to me and I chose my words very
carefully so as to get my stories across in the most honest way I could. It’s definitely not for kids, but I don’t write my records for kids. I hope you’ll give Weaponize another shot with that in mind. If not, there’s always a chance I’ll clean it up next time.
Or not.

The music and lyrics belong to you and I was only giving my opinion as I love to do. I hope wish the best and it’s my problem if I find the profanity offensive. It’s really just a couple of terms that I personally take offense to and the whole country except in Georgia must be using them in everyday language. The “F” word and “GD”. Your singing talent and lyrics previously amazed me as they implicated the very things you were writing about and I admired that about you, i.e., “johnny black and humble green”. You always made me think.
I don’t have to think on Weaponize. You just put it out there — but hey it’s more than I’m doing. That, like I said, is the only reason I didn’t buy the entire EP and chose the songs I could play with anyone around.
I love “it Hurts” btw but another one I listen to alone and wonder what I can substitute for one word so I can share it with others and tell them they didn’t hear what they thought. hahahah
Keep playing, writing, and rocking and I’ll keep buying what I can handle.

I am a firm believer than Mr. Show is one of the funniest hit or miss comedies of the decade before the last one.

Mr. Show is one of our favorite shows and “Blow Up The Moon” was one of the BEST skits! I think I may watch it this weekend. Thanks for sharing Kay!
